OK, so I thought I would make a post just telling you guys what I've been up to lately, because most of my posts lately have been visual, with very little writing involved, which is great, but i have some pretty cool news so I'm going to take this chance to bring you up to speed with whats happening in my life right now.
So, I'm going to start with the most exciting news, I am no longer jobless! I got a job as a christmas sales associate in Urban Outfitters in temple bar. I was pretty happy with the news, especially because i honestly didn't think i got the job after the interview. but yeah, they must have liked me which is kinda cool....
So, my second piece of news is, starting on December the 6th, I am going to be in a show in the Project Arts Center with my theatre group, called 'six characters in search of an author'. If you live in Dublin and you like theatre you should come see it, its going to be fun and scary and whack and i think you might like it.
Oh, another amazing but completely unexpected thing happened to me the other week. So my friend invited me into town on a Saturday morning, because a photographer named
David Mushegain had gotten in contact with her through facebook, and he was looking for young people to photograph. So, I went in, and when i was there i found out that he was quite famous, he has shot covers for Elle, Vogue and a lot of amazing super models, and he discovered Charlotte Free! It was insane, he was the nicest, most down to earth guy! So he took our photos and we walked around town with him. Afterwards, he decided to treat us all to fish and chips for dinner, and when we went to the restaurant he told us that Flea, The bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, was coming to get dinner with us. David, the photographer was over in Dublin because he was The RHCP's official photographer, and they were playing a gig in Dublin. It was absolutely surreal, he was so friendly and nice, and everyone recognised him and was trying to get a photo with him. Then we walked Flea around town and Irish danced with him on the street, it was so much fun. And later on David was telling us how he is going to come over to Dublin again with Charlotte, so she can meet all of us. Can't wait. So yeah, that has to be the most exciting news so far.
Oh, and a bit of not so great news, I went to the launch for the new issue of Thread magazine, the one in which i was supposed to be in. And guess what, they cut me out of it. To be honest I don't really mind, things like that happen. But it was just very annoying that i wasn't informed, and had to find out by myself from looking through the issue at the launch, with my two friends peering over my shoulder, anxious to see the photo i told them would be in it. ugh.
Anyway, ce le vie. So, to wrap things up the past few weeks have been amazing. I have met so many nice new people and made some really genuine freinds. There must be some more things I've forgotten to tell you as well, I can just feel it. Well, when i remember i will make another post.
I will keep you updated guys. See you all soon! x
Oh. I forgot, last week i went to the launch Party for
The Silver Factory's new t-shirt line in 9 Crow Street, it was a lot of fun and i got pissed off a lot of free champagne! Well, here are some photos from that and some other things, good night everyone! x
